Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end

I'll start my blog by saying the most cliche' thing that comes to mind.. I never pictured myself as a "blogger". It's an overused statement, but definitely true. I just don't find my life very blog-worthy. The funny thing is, the blogs I find most interesting are about people's everyday life. I guess what sets them apart is that they embrace the beauty and excitement of an average life. While I am thankful for the life I have, I want to be beyond content. I want to live each day of my life like it's the best day of my life. I'd like to think I'm a positive person for the most part, but I do have my off days. My biggest hope with starting a blog is that it will motivate me to think outside the box and put me in a state of mind that tells me my life is that of a rock star.. my life is what I make it!

As for the title of my blog, well.. let's just say I have a knack for lying in bed at night thinking of cheesy blog titles while I try to fall asleep. And as long as I'm being honest, "Perfectly Imperfect" more than suits my life at the moment. I've gotten to the stage in my life that has me questioning decisions I make and how I can be a better person in all aspects of my life. Since I've been in this stage for quite a while and gone about it with different strategies, I can tell you going into any challenge expecting to be perfect doesn't get you anywhere. I've come to terms with the fact that sometimes I may leave the dishes in the sink for tomorrow or that I will skip the gym because "I'm just not feeling it today". Life's challenges are an ongoing process and everyone has their own pace.

One last tidbit since I am a sucker for trivia. While I was searching google for a quote for a spiffy blog title, I came across "every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end". Like me, you may know it from Semisonic's 1998 hit "Closing Time". Apparently it's a quote from this dude! Huh, you learn something new everyday. That's all part of being perfectly imperfect ;)
